Welcome and thank you for being here. I’m Simone Saunders, the founder of The Cognitive Corner. I created this space with the intention of amplifying and celebrating the diversity of our human experiences, and a community that is dedicated to creating safe environments to explore vulnerabilities. As someone who previously struggled to find a therapist that looked like me and make space for my identity as a Black woman - my goal has been to create a space that provides culturally responsive mental health care for all.

My Education & Approach
I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work, with a specialization in trauma and have been working in the field of mental health since 2016. I have a passion for individual and group therapy and truly believe that therapy can be beneficial for anyone, even if you are not in the midst of a crisis.
I fundamentally believe in the connection between the mind and body, and work from a client centred, somatic approach. Through therapy, we’ll explore your history, nervous system and relationship to your body. With intentional work, we’ll work to get a better understanding of your unique experience, patterns that your nervous system engages in, and how to learn/unlearn new ways of knowing.
